Obituary for Mary Margaret Vaughn

Mary Gressinger Vaughn, age 89, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, passed away at home Thursday, April 12, 2018. She was born in Hartville, Ohio July 11th, 1928 to William and Agnes Gressinger. She was a 1946 graduate of Marlboro High School. She married William Vaughn on January 31st, 1948. Mary and William, with their daughters, moved to Belle Glade, Florida in 1962. They traveled extensively in their motor home. One of their favorite places to travel was to Ohio to visit extended family and friends. She was an assistant librarian in Palm Beach County schools for many years. In 1994, the couple retired to Oak Ridge, TN to be close to their daughters and grandchildren. The couple celebrated 50 years of marriage together. Mary was an avid canasta player, a crossword enthusiast, lover of books and enjoyed spending time with her family. She adored her 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William Vaughn (1998) and brothers William, Robert and Paul Gressinger. She is survived by daughters Pat Connell and Debby Aloi (Mike). Also, by her grandchildren Melissa Aloi, Joe Aloi (Emily) and Casey Rust (Mikah) and great-grandchildren Dalton, Beranger, Ava Jean and Bowen. As well as her sister Pauline Begue (Louis) of Lousiville, Ohio and brother, James Gressinger (Connie) of McAllen, TX and many nieces and nephews.
A private, graveside service will be held at Oak Ridge Memorial Park for close family and friends.
