Obituary for Mary Elizabeth Chronley

Mary Elizabeth Chronley was born November 14, 1923 in Springfield, Massachusetts. She spent her childhood in Cranston Rhode Island, later attended Ohio Dominion College, Columbia University and Catholic University of America. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. and Eleanor A. Chronley and a brother, Robert E. Chronley, Jr. She is survived by her brother, James A. Chronley, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mary entered the convent as a young adult and became a Catholic nun; was a teacher of musical instruments and voice; and later became an accomplished realtor, founding her own realty firm, Chronley Realty Consultants, based in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
The receiving of friends will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Monday, February 5, 2018 from 10 AM until 11 AM. The funeral mass will begin at 11 AM with Father Dustin Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. An online guest book may be signed at weatherfordmortuary.com
