Obituary for Terry Lynn Smith

Terry Lynn Smith 67 of Oak Ridge died on May 1, 2019 after a brief illness at Parkwest Medical Center.

Terry was a Vietnam Veteran and retired from Department of Energy. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed science fiction movies, fixing things, and spending time with his family.

Terry was born and raised in Oak Ridge to parents Leon Everett Smith Sr. and Frances Terry Smith. Survivors include his wife Kay Smith, son Randy Smith and significant other Christen Winter of Oak Ridge, daughter Amy Smith (Bryan) of Harrison, brother Leon (Lisa) Smith Jr of Oak Ridge, sister Kay (Butch) Ball of Karns and his beloved dog Reba.

In lieu of flowers the family requests it be made to Young Williams Animal Shelter in Knoxville, TN or the Wounded Warriors Project.

The family will receive friends on May 11, 2019 from 5 to 7 p. m. at The New Life Church of the Nazarene 200 LaFollette Drive, Oak Ridge. A Celebration of Life service, officiated by the Rev Keith Robinson, will be held at 7 p. m. An online guest book may be signed at weatherfordmortuary.com
