Obituary for JL Williamson

JL Williamson, 85, of Oak Ridge passed away on April 25, 2019 at Summit View of Rocky Top.

He was born to parents, Homer Roosevelt Williamson and Hattie Turner Williamson on April 18, 1934 in McColl, South Carolina.

He was a member of Oak Ridge Alliance Church.

JL retired as a Master Sergeant with the US Air Force after 26 years of service.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wives, M. Charlotte Williamson and Billie Jo “B.J” Williamson, and his brother, Dan Franklin Williamson.

Survivors include:
Children, Donna Sue Williamson, Jo Williamson Greathouse (Larry), Kelly Williamson Engelhardt (David) and Joshua A. Williamson;

Brothers, Wade Homer Williamson, Homer Roosevelt “H.R.” Williamson, Jr. (Peggy Norton Williamson);
Grandchildren, Marcus A. Engelhardt (Jessica Quinn Engelhardt), Ian M. Engelhardt, and Alex B. Williamson; Great-grandson, Desmond C. Engelhardt; Several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in JL’s memory to Gideons International.

The graveside service will be held at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Knoxville, Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 11 :30 AM. Rev. Dale Crank will officiate. Military Honors will be provided by the US Air Force. A memorial service will be held at a later date. An online guest book may be signed at weatherfordmortuary.com
