Obituary for Ira Lee Hill

Ira Lee Hill, 84, of Oak Ridge, departed this life, surrounded by his loving family and friends, and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 3, 2019. The son of Ralph and Iva Lee Hill, he was born in April 1934, in Lenoir City, Tennessee. He was an Army Veteran and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. Ira worked at the Y-12 Security Complex for 45 years in the Utilities Team. Ira enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, and was a loving and devoted father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather who provided inspiration, leadership, a guiding light, and was a blessing to all he met. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Norma Jean Ferguson, of Rockton, Illinois. Ira is survived by his sons, their wives, and children; Lee (Pam) Hill of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and their children, Tony; Andrea and her children, Hezekiah, Whitney, Lakia, and Anthony of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; Aaron of Seattle, Washington; and Nikki (Matthew) Bozarth and their son Joshua of Lacey, Washington; and Marty (Kim) Hill, and their children Sarah, and Nicholas of Ft. Mill, South Carolina, and special friends; Juanita Richards, Jo Hensley, Bill Burgess, Mike Johnson, Phil Nall, Carl Webb, Kevin Hayes and Spencer Ferguson. He is also survived by his sister, Pauline (Charles) Nobles, of Grand Bay, Ala., along with many nieces and nephews.
