Obituary for Wesley Sylvester Howard, III

Wesley Sylvester Howard, III, 69 of Oak Ridge passed away on August 17, 2018 at Diversicare of Oak Ridge.

He was born in New Eagle, Pennsylvania on October 8, 1948 to parents Wesley S. Howard, Sr. and Alfreda Martin Howard.

Wesley retired from the United States Air Force and had works for Union Carbide Corporation at the K-25 Facility as a maintenance mechanic.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman when his health allowed.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Faye; son, Wesley Howard, IV; sister, Betty Lou Howard-Handy.

Survivors include: Loving sister. Carolyn Caldwell of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania;
Devoted daughter, Tina (Reggie) Henderson-Porter of Oak Ridge;
Daughters Cheryl (Joseph) Henderson of Knoxville;
Dionne (Jerome) Kirk of Oak Ridge;
Phyllis Harshaw of Alcoa;
Charlesetta (Garard) Branch, Oak Ridge;
Sons, Milton (Tennese) Henderson of Nashville and Eric Latham, Oak
Ridge;
Niece, Dena (Kenny) Wallace, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania;
Grandchildren, Wesley, Lauren, Summer, and Jayden;
Great-granddaughter, Arianna;
Devoted friends Robert Davis and Curtis Fritts;
And a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 5 – 7 PM at Weatherford Mortuary. The graveside service will be held at 11 AM Friday at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton. An online guest book may be signed at weatherfordmortuary.com
