Obituary for Stephen Conner White

Stephen (Steve) Conner White, 62, passed away Wednesday at 10:10 AM, after a 22 month battle with Prostate/Bone, and ultimately, Brain cancer. Raised in Oak Ridge, Steve graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1973, where he lettered in baseball and basketball. He graduated from Hiwassee College, where he played baseball on scholarship. He enjoyed a long career in building truss sales and design in Florida. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Gene White in 2000. Steve is survived by his mother Sarah Elizabeth (Libby) Conner White, his wife Terri Lee White, his son Jake Eugene White, his daughter Amber Mae White, and his brothers Dr. Larry E. White & his wife Dr. Jackie White and David W. White & his wife Benita White. He is also survived by his nephews Alexander White and Conner White and Aunts Margie Adkins and Charlotte Blackburn as well as numerous cousins. The family will receive friends at the home, 136 Pembroke Road, Oak Ridge, from 3 - 5 PM Sunday, August 19, 2018 with a brief service to follow at 5 PM. Dress is casual. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to The Lawrence Hahn Foundation or The Oak Ridge Boys Club. Arrangements by Weatherford Mortuary.
