Obituary for Russell Howard Holt

Russell Howard Holt, 67, of Oak Ridge, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at his home.
He was born March 3, 1951 in Haysi, Virginia, one of eight children born to Tallie Eugene Holt Sr., and Mary Dyer Holt. Russell served with the US Army from 1971 – 1979. He retired in 2001 from Boeing International where he was a machinist. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Brandy Williams in 2016 and brother, Tallie Eugene Holt Jr., in 2011. He is survived by two sons, Mitchell Holt of Oak Ridge and Russell "Brian" Holt and wife Alice of Knoxville; Brothers, Charles Duty and Jim Duty and wife Mary of Haysi, Virginia;
Sisters, Rachael Henderson and husband David of Crossville, Linda Bass and husband Albert of Oliver Springs, Janet Garner of Knoxville and Eleanor Pullen of Clinton; Grandchildren, Kristopher Williams and Zackary Holt; The mother of his children, Roseanna Williams of Oak Ridge; Niece, Leslie Hardy and husband Greg of Clinton and Nephew, Derick Pullen and wife Danielle of New Haven, CT; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 1 – 2pm at Weatherford Mortuary. A graveside service will follow at 2:30pm at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with Derick Pullen officiating.
