Obituary for Margaret Helen Turner

Margaret Helen Turner, 94 of Oak Ridge passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Methodist Medical Center.

She was born to parents Francis Charles Turner and Dorothy Rudd Fern Turner on December 14, 1923 in Hudson, Ohio.

For many years Margaret volunteered at Methodist Medical Center, she also was an avid reader who enjoyed murder mysteries, as well as working crossword puzzles. She was very fond pets especially cats, loved the outdoors, trips and picnics to State Parks and the Smokies especially at Cade’s Cove. Earlier in her years she was a professional seamstress, making wedding gowns and clothes for professional women.

Margaret was preceded in death by:
Her husband, Duane Howard Turner in 1999;
Brother, Bill Turner of Pennsylvania;
and grandson, Joey Lubet.

Her survivors include:
Son, Stephen Turner of Oak Ridge;
Daughter, Martha Gean Lobet and her husband, Ron of Rockville, MD;
Grandchildren, Michael and Katie Lubet.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help with funeral costs or to Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Inc. , Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Inc., E. TN Office, 5801 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919

The family will receive friends at Weatherford Mortuary on Friday, March 2, 2018 from Noon until 1 PM. Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens. An online guest book may be signed at
