Obituary for Lois Ann Noe

Lois Ann Noe, 80, of Oak Ridge, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at NHC Health Care.
She was born June 12, 1937 in Kingsport, TN, the daughter of Elmer James Templeton and Mildred Akers Templeton. Mrs. Noe retired from JC Penney Company where she had been a sales associate for many years. Mrs. Noe was very passionate in her faith and loved studying the Bible. She enjoyed her family and was known for her wonderful cooking, especially catering to each individual grandchild and fixing their favorite dishes. Her grandchildren were her passion in life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, William Gene Noe, April 21, 2002. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Billy James Templeton and David Templeton. She is survived by sisters, Betty Mercks of Maryville, Marie Smith of Chattanooga and Peggy Wayland of Andersonville; Sons, Larry Gene Noe and wife Carol Clark Noe of Oak Ridge and Jerry Lynn Noe and wife Laura Weston Noe of Manchester, TN; Grandchildren, Kyle Noe and Kimberly Noe of Manchester, Christi Schulman and husband Neil of Knoxville and Catherine Cox and husband Chris of Soddy Daisy; Nikki Long and Daniel Long of Oak Ridge; Great-Grandchildren, James Schulman, Gardner Agee and Silas Agee, Amber Cox and Alexis Cox; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 12 – 1 pm at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral will begin at 1pm with Rev. Brian Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. An on-line guest book can be signed at www.weatherfordmortuary.com.
