Obituary for Clara Virginia Sulfridge

Sulfridge, Clara Virginia Redmond - age 91 of Oak Ridge, TN passed away on May 26, 2018 at Greenfield Senior Living Center. Born June 1, 1926 in Cumberland Gap, TN where she graduated from Middlesboro High School, KY. In 1952, she and her husband, Clint, moved to Oak Ridge to further his career at K-25. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and faithful member of West Village Christian Church in Oak Ridge.
Preceded in death by Hosea Dee and Annie Mae Redmond; brother Hosea Dee Redmond, JR.; sisters Gola Fae Redmond, Winnifred Hitch and Eloise "June" Whaley. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Clint Sulfridge, Jr.; son, Robert Sulfridge (Doni); daughter, Sylvia Easterday (Norman); grandchild, Lisa Binnie (Eric), nieces, nephews and friends. The family thanks the staff at Greenfield Senior Living and Amedysis Hospice for their loving care during her final days.
The family will receive friends at West Village Christian Church, 637 Robertsville Road, Oak Ridge, TN, on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM, with the memorial service to follow. Pastor Lloyd Johnson will officiate. A private interment will be held at Harrogate Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to West Village Christian Church.
