Obituary for Betty Taylor Bryant

Betty Taylor Bryant, 85, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Asbury Place of Maryville. She was born April 23, 1933 in Dandridge, TN, the daughter of Olin James Taylor and Grace Woody Taylor. Mrs. Bryant worked in the credit department of the Knox, Proffitt’s and Belk Department Stores in Oak Ridge until her retirement. She was a long time member of Central Baptist Church. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Aubrey Greer Bryant in 1998; daughter, Beth Ann Bryant in 1978; and son-in-law, W. Lynn Sutton in 2012.
She is survived by daughters, Deborah “Debbie” Bryant Sutton of Oak Ridge and
Denise Leah Bryant of Maryville; 3 grandchildren, Amy Taylor McKeehan and husband Brian of Knoxville and their children Molly Grace and Matthew James; Andrew “Andy” Neil Rader and wife Lyndsay of Knoxville and their children, Paige, Neil and Brooke; and Dane Alexander Plemons of Maryville. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 4:30 – 6:00pm at Weatherford Mortuary. Family and friends will meet on Sunday at 2pm at Oak Ridge Memorial Park for a graveside service with Rev. Glenn Ellis officiating.
