Obituary for Barbara Louise Arnold

Barbara Louise (Coppin) Arnold was born in Belton, Texas on November 14, 1933, to Jared & Mildred (Muelhaus) Coppin. Barbara grew up enjoying the good life of a small town in Central Texas in the 1940s & 50s. She was voted most popular and best looking by her high school peers. She was smart, athletic, and beautiful and enjoyed many strong friendships throughout her life.
In 1954, Barbara married William Edgar Barnett and together they raised three sons (William, Scott, & Elliott) eventually moving to Oak Ridge, Tennessee in 1961. Barbara thoroughly enjoyed playing tennis with friends in the Oak Ridge Tennis League, became an accomplished pottery artist, and loved bird watching.
In 1989, Barbara married Wesley (Bill) Arnold who really changed her life with his steady faithful love. Barbara & Bill enjoyed over 28 years of marriage as they enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, watching SEC football, and just enjoying life together.
Barbara dearly loved her family; she was a deeply devoted mother to her three sons and daughters in law (Wendy, Regina, & Crystal) and grandmother to her 11 grandchildren (Emily, Hannah, Will, Ellie, Ethan, Ian, Emma, Luke, Kate, Kimberly, & Karoline) and most recently great-grandmother (Malone).
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 3 – 5 pm at Weatherford Mortuary. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Weatherford Mortuary.
