Obituary for Anna Belle Berkley

Anna Belle Berkley, 98 of Oak Ridge passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving granddaughters on January 26, 2018.
She was born October 16, 1919 in Atkins, Virginia to parents John Floyd Hutton and Mary Elizabeth Josephine Hanshew Hutton.

Anna was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church and now current member of First United Methodist Church of Oak Ridge.

She was preceded in death by: her parents:
Husband, Elmer Clarence;
Sisters, Ruth, Maude, and Opal;
Brothers, Carl Bus, Benny, and Bill;
Son-in-law, Teddy Hatcher.

Survivors include:
Son, Wayne Berkley and wife, Janice, Knoxville;
Daughter, Kathy Hatcher, Jefferson City;
Grandchildren, Lynne Hatcher, Jefferson City;
Sherri Jones and husband, Kevin, Oliver Springs;
Cheryl Norman and husband, Kelly, Oak Ridge;
Step-grandsons and wives are Ben Maney, June Hopper of Knoxville, Sean and Sarah Maney of St. Louis.
Great-grandchildren, Austin Jones, Ryan Jones, and Alex Norman.
Step-grandchildren, Matthew and Lilly Maney.

The family would like to say a special thanks of gratitude to Pam Berkley and Michelle Bird for their loving care and to the wonderful caregivers and sitters who were there in Anna’s time of need.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 29, 2018 from 5 – 7 PM at Weatherford Mortuary with the funeral service to follow at 7 PM with a minister from First United Methodist Church officiating.
The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, 2 PM at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. An online guest book may be signed at
